The Trainer Part 3
After an awkward moment, Tonya sent Dave to do his cardio and set up for Kurts assessment. She began with the basic health evaluation forms, weight, measurements, pulse, and blood pressure.
"Did you have any caffeine this morning?" she asked as she took the cuff off of his arm.
"No," he replied, looking at her quizzically. "Why?"
"Your blood pressure is a little high," she said. "Are you nervous or upset about anything?"
"Just about walking in on you and your boyfriend," he spit out.
"He's not my boyfriend," she replied. "In fact, the kiss you saw was his response to my telling him that I don't date wrestlers. Apparently, he thought he could change my mind. Now, we need to see if we can get that blood pressure down before we do the rest of the assessment." She leaned across the desk to put her supplies away, not noticing Kurts eyes on her backside as she did so. "How do you feel about massage?"
"Huh?" he said, focusing on her face once more.
"Massage," she said, standing to face him again. "You think a massage will help you relax and lower your blood pressure?"
"Maybe," he said. "Do you think its serious?"
"I'm not a doctor, so I don't know for sure," she replied, looking into his nervous face. "But, I'd guess that it is just some anxiety about having to meet with me today. We didn't exactly get off on the right foot."
"I'm sorry about that," he said. "I've really thought about what you said, and you were right to bust my chops over it. I'm kind of suprised you busted my chops over it, but you were definitely right. You think we can start over?" He looked sheepishly at her.
"It's already forgotten," she smiled. "Now, go back to the massage room and get ready. I'll be back in a minute to see if we can get you relaxed."
He went through the door she directed him to and found a serene setting with a massage table in the middle. Off to the side was a table with some candles and a CD player. The lighting was dim and there was a faint smell of something soft in the air, similar to the scent he had smelled earlier as Tonya hand leaned across him. The smell brought back the image of her perfect backside right in his line of sight. He smiled as he undressed for his massage. Dave wasn't the only one who wanted to convince her to date a wrestler.
A knock on the door startled him into rushing out of the rest of his clothes and onto the table. When he gave the all clear, she walked in and turned on the CD player and lit the candles. As the ocean sounds played, the ocean breeze scent of the candles filled the room and she began massaging the tension from his neck.
After about 30 minutes, Tonya left the massage room and noticed Dave still on the treadmill. "How long are you going today?" she asked.
"Don't know," he replied with a grin. "How long you want me to go? Cause I can go all night long, just not on the treadmill."
"Very funny," she said, shaking her head. "I won't tell Ric you're trying to steal his gimmick." She looked at his time and heartrate on the treadmill's display. "Go until I finish Kurts assessment and then we'll massage the knots out of your quads."
He closed his eyes and moaned. "I love it when you talk muscles," he said smiling at her as Kurt walked out of the massage room looking way too happy.
